Wacom Bamboo Splash Pen Tablet (CTL471)

I can't believe I haven't used a tablet before. I spend a lot of time in Photoshop and am pretty handy with a mouse, but this tablet makes things so much easier. Looking at the screen while using the tablet was not a problem for me as I've been doing it with a mouse in Photoshop for years. This tablet installed without a hitch. I didn't install Elements as I have it's big brother on my machine and I have not used the Nik filters yet as I have a lot of Photoshop Plugins that I'm used to.

The pen is pressure sensitive and I found myself adapting to it in hardly anytime at all. It really is comfortable and easy to use. If you spend anytime at all in Photoshop and don't have a tablet, like I didn't, you'll be doing yourself a favor by getting one and this one is easy to use and won't break the bank.

Wacom Bamboo Capture Pen and Touch Tablet (CTH470)

I just bought this tablet last week and have been using it non stop. I was worried that the touch surface would be too small to draw fine detail, but it fits perfectly in your lap and the multi-touch gestures make everything easy to use. I have my 4 buttons customized for Photoshop and set to: Undo, Paint, Erase, and New Layer. This lets me work quickly and minimizes my keyboard usage. You can also customize the buttons on the pen as well as enable/disable certain multi-touch features. The Rotate multi-touch gesture often interferes with the Zoom in and out gesture, so I disabled rotate in the Bamboo control panel. This tablet has been great so far and I can't wait to keep using it!

I've only had this about a week and I love it so far. It can take just a bit to get used to using a tablet over paper but once you do this tablet it fantastic, it has made drawing so much more enjoyable. I have been really impressed with how responsive it is and just how easy to use it is. Also having the touch abilities is great it makes working on project super simple. If you are looking for a tablet and aren't sure about what to get, buy this one you wont be disappointed.
